Our Teachers
Jason Park is Director of Curriculum and Instruction at Prep Innovation LLC and is a career educator. He earned his B.S. in Biology at Duke University and his M.A. at Teachers College at Columbia University in private school leadership. With over 18 years as a science teacher in both public and private schools, he has also spent much of that time instructing hundreds of students in the SAT’s, ACT’s and various AP exams. Currently, Jason Park serves as the science department chair at a prestigious private school in central New Jersey and is excited to continue his lifelong endeavor to help students reach their highest potential.
Samuel Kim attended Rutgers University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science. Between 2012-2019, he was the founder and owner of Capstone Academy in northern New Jersey, as well as their primary SAT math and English teacher. He has also taught the ACT, SSAT, and various SAT subject tests. Additionally, he has taught many summer classes for math subjects ranging from Algebra to Calculus, as well as reading, grammar and writing courses. Samuel Kim, along with his wife and son, resides in Fort Lee, New Jersey, but he is indeed an avid fan of Philadelphia sports teams. Moreover, he never turns down a game of chess.
Flora Peir writes headlines for The New York Times, where she has been an editor for 17 years. She has spent her career at The New York Times cajoling reporters and editors to file on time, fixing and elevating stories, running breaking news coverage and coordinating with the printing presses on big news nights. Flora graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She lives in Queens with her husband and their three children.
Michael Abuschinow is a lifelong resident of New Jersey. He grew up in South Brunswick and has tutored hundreds of students from approximately 20 different public and private schools in the central Jersey area. He earned his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania and briefly worked in the pharmaceutical industry before realizing his true passion: teaching. Over the past 10 years, Michael has taught SAT courses at a brick and mortar tutoring center, has assisted students with their math and science classes from the convenience of their own homes or local libraries, and has conducted virtual tutoring sessions thanks to the wonders of modern technology.
